How do I turn off the ‘memories’ popped up on Facebook everyday?

For those users who are annoyed by everyday automatic pop up of “memories” inside Facebook, here are some thoughtful view for you:

Open a new window with Facebook, look for Apps in the left column and ‘On this day’www.facebook.com
To turn off notifications:
- Go to facebook.com
- Click Notifications and select Off
You can also click on ‘Preferences’ in the right-hand corner and adjust dates and people you don’t want to see. This is a function that I had no idea was there, even if I’m pretty Facebook savvy.
So SIMPLE right?
